Technology at Incarnation Catholic
School
Incarnation uses technology throughout the campus
and curriculum to maximize the learning experience for the students, support
the faculty and staff, and improve communications amongst parents, faculty and
staff. The school’s local area network connects approximately 100 Windows-based
on-campus computers and servers, and is connected to the wide area network
maintained by the Catholic Diocese of Memphis. The Diocese provides the school
with email and internet connectively, and includes firewall, antivirus and
content filtering services.

Edline:
- The Edline website is used to securely
post information for students and parents:
- 3rd – 8th grade student’s grades are uploaded weekly to Edline for parents to view.
- All grades provide weekly newsletters and other relevant
information posted by the individual teachers.
- General news is posted on a day to day basis on Edline
Our goals:
- Teach and guide the students to be computer literate for their
grade.
- Focus on and improve their Typing skills.
- Being safe and responsible while using the computer
- Work with teachers and enhance the learning ability of the child
by using computers as an additional source.
Standards:
In a structured, nurturing environment,
students will become comfortable with technology and learn skills as detailed
by the Shelby county technology standards and the
National educational technology standards (NETS).
